How I work

Planning a wedding doesn’t need to be complicated. I’m here to help you, provide you with inspiration and guide you every step of the way.

Here is a quick summary of how I work.

Get in touch

Firstly, we have a chat to share your ideas (and mine), and to see if I’m the right fit for your ceremony.
We’ll also discuss your preferred wedding date (proposed or confirmed), and if we feel we’re a good fit, we set a date to have an obligation-free catch-up.

Meet

We then meet in-person or online so I can learn more about you and your plans for your ceremony, as well as your vision and desires.
If you’re comfortable with me, you sign me up and we get started.

Plan the Big Day

Every couple is unique, and I offer flexibility to meet your specific needs. Whether you prefer an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, an indoor or outdoor wedding, I will adapt to your requirements and create a ceremony that is meaningful to you. Regardless of your cultural background, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation, I will create an inclusive ceremony that respects and honours your unique identities and preferences.

As a guide a legals only ceremony can take as little as 10 minutes. I will be guided by you and what you want included but generally 25 to 30 minutes is favourable.

How much do your services cost?

My fees are outlined in my Services Agreement which I will share with you at our first meeting.

Do we need to include a ritual, a reading, or a poem?

It is totally your choice. I can work with you to include a favourite reading, poem or ritual that is symbolic to you and is compatible with the ceremony. After completing the services agreement and first invoice is paid, I can supply you with a range of ideas to include as part of your ceremony.

Do we need to refer to ‘god’ or religion?

It is totally your choice. As your Civil Celebrant I am required to marry you by law. If you would like to add reference to your faith, we can add this to your ceremony. As your celebrant I am concerned with making your ceremony personal and all about you.
